
The council contoured inauguration of the first phase of emergency hospital on Thursday, July 24. The hospital is consisted of three floors including 50 beds and 2 operations room, provided that the rest of the hospital's floors will be completed consecutively until the coming September to accommodate 400 beds for emergency cases. The council expressed gratitude and appreciation to Eng.\ Ibrahim Mehleb, Prime Minister, Dr.\ Adel Adawy, Minister of Health, and Dr.\ Al-Sayed Abdul-Khalek , Minister of Higher Education, for boosting Cairo University hospitals aiming at lifting its efficiency to provide citizens with the best services.
Cairo University's Council has approved ending the deanship of the deans, who reached the legal age, in July 31 provided that they conduct the business of the faculty until the new deans appointed in these faculties. The University's council expressed gratitude and appreciation to the deans whose deanship will end for what they have exerted of effort during their deanship. Cairo University's council has approved applying the modification of the geographical scope of academic hostels accommodation (increasing the geographic area for accommodation to 50 km) provided that this modification applied on new students starting from the coming academic year 2014/2015. Concerning old students, the conditions will remain as they are.
