University Rover Challenge


This kind of competitions is organized by global research institutions. The team participated in the competition which was held in America in May 2014. The competition was organized by Mars Society. The team has also participated in the competition held in Poland in September 2014. It was organized by institutions subordinated to the European Union. It aims at designing and carrying out robot model which walks in space on the surfaces of planets, can do some operations such as the analysis of some soil samples and communicates with spacecraft to do some maintenance operations. The team has reached the ninth place in University Rover Challenge which has been held at the US in May 2014. The team has achieved the third place in European Rover Challenge which was held at Poland in September 2014 as the team managed to overcome several teams from universities of developed countries like the American University of Michigan.
