Cairo University Celebrates the Passage of 25 Years since Establishing International Business Law Institute

On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at 10 a.m., Grand Celebration Hall, Cairo University, witnesses celebrating the passage of 25 years since establishing International Business Law Institute, at Faculty of Law. The celebration is attended by Eng.\ Ibrahim Mahlab, Prime Minister, Dr.\ Al-Sayed Abdul-Khalek, Minister of Higher Education, Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, and Andre Baran, Ambassador of France in Cairo, as well as elite of professors of law from Egypt and France.


Noteworthy, International Business Law Institute has been established in accordance with a cooperation agreement between Cairo University and Sorbonne (Paris 1) year 1989. It is one of the cultural cooperation outcomes between Egypt and France. It targets publishing the Latin legal culture to which the Egyptian legal system belongs.


The institute highly qualifies Faculty of Law's students to receive their B.A. degrees in Law, M.A. degree which qualifies them to register PhD. degree in Law. It also offers Diploma of International Business Law Institute to non-law graduate students to provide researchers and attorneys trained at global level of efficiency in international business law so as to enable them to excel and keep an eye on change in the global climate.


Dr.\ Samy Fahmy, The Director of the Institute and Chair of Commercial and Maritime Law, Faculty of Law, has illustrated that the institute is regarded a vital source of cultural exchange between Egypt and France especially in the legal culture field. He pointed out that the ceremonial topics tackle human rights and business law by Egyptian and French Professor Speakers.
