Sponsored by Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Said Daw, Vice President of Cairo University for Community Service and Environment Development, Cairo University Center for Elderly Care organizes a ceremony of The International Day of Older Persons, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at 10 a.m., at Conference Hall, National Institute of Laser Enhanced Sciences (NILES), Cairo University.
Many important figures participate in the activities of the ceremony. They are Dr. Ghada Wally, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Mosaad Radwan, The Assistant of Social Solidarity Minister, Dr. Noha Sabry, The Director of Cairo University Center for Elderly Care, Dr. Tarek Okasha, Head of Alzheimer Society, Dr. Hisham Ramy, The General Trustee of Psychiatric Health, Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Latif, Professor of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al Ainy, as well as elite of public figures at the Egyptian society.
On the fringe of the ceremony, some public figures and artists are honored, first and foremost, Hussein Fahmy, Ayda Fahmy, The Director of Comedy Theatre, Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdul-Nasser, Former Vice President of Cairo University for Community Service and Environment Development, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Yousry Abdul-Mohsen, Professor of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al Ainy and Former Director of Cairo University Center for Elderly Care, Dr. Abdul-Moneim Ashour, Professor of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, as well as honoring a group of professors who contributed to founding the center.
A comprehensive presentation of the varied activities and services of the center at the level of the Republic of Egypt is to be displayed. Noteworthy, Cairo University Center for Elderly Care is a service governmental center that offers social and medical services at the level of the Republic. It is the only governmental center at the level of the Middle East.
