Some journalistic websites and social media websites have circulated false information on demolishing the old mosque at the yard of Faculty of Commerce. The new mosque is dedicated for female students. Water closets and fit ablution places that facilitates their performance of prayer are being attached to the mosque.
Cairo University confirms that gathering students at a great mosque for the performance of prayer is an implementation of the fatwa of the Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa as well as a respect and appreciation for the prayer ordinance.
