Some journalistic websites and social media websites have circulated false information on demolishing the old mosque at the yard of Faculty of Commerce. Cairo University confirms that the process of demolition is intended for building a new mosque on a wider area with a structural design that copes with the male students mosque.
The new mosque is dedicated for female students. Water closets and fit ablution places that facilitates their performance of prayer are being attached to the mosque.
Cairo University confirms that gathering students at a great mosque for the performance of prayer is an implementation of the fatwa of the Egyptian Dar Al-Iftaa as well as a respect and appreciation for the prayer ordinance.
The President of Cairo University thanks Cambridge for the courage shown in its return to fairer assessment methods, which restored the world’s confidence in it.
