Cairo University President Gaber Nassar and his accompanying delegation discussed joint scientific research cooperation frameworks between Cairo University and Hiroshima University in fields of engineering sciences, oncology, biotechnology and nanotechnology. The discussion was during the current visit of Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar to Japan for Hiroshima University invited him to visit it. The earlier agreement between the two universities in Cairo considered the activation of scientific cooperation between both universities in advanced research and technology fields in cooperation with researchers from the two universities. The agreement also considered benefitting from researches conducted by both universities in the development of scientific research applications.
Cairo University delegation, which is headed by Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar, is currently in a visit to Japan. It encompasses Cairo University Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs Amr Adly, Faculty of Agriculture Dean Hany Al-Shimy, National Cancer Institute Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs Abdel-Rahman Zekry and Professor of Faculty of Engineering Ahmed Hazin. Cairo University delegation participates in a workshop on joint scientific cooperation fields between the two universities. The delegation also holds many meetings with Hiroshima University leaderships, headed by Hiroshima University President Mitsuo Ochi, to determine the frameworks and starting date of joint research work between the two universities.
Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar earlier said that ،،Cairo University is keen on deepening cooperation based on partnership with the Japanese institutions working in fields of education and scientific research.,, He pointed out that ،،Cairo University has high-level researchers and Hiroshima University has plans for extending cooperation with Cairo University particularly in scientific research fields.,,
