Cairo University Mourns Egyptian Scientist Mona Bakr

It is with deep regret and profound sadness that Cairo University mourns the passing of the Egyptian scientist Prof. Dr. Mona Bakr, a staff member at National Institute for Laser Enhanced Sciences, Cairo University. She is the director of Cairo University Center for Nanotechnology and one of the pioneers of Egypt in laser sciences. Cairo University lost a scientist who is the owner of a unique scientific trend in Egypt and the world. She is famous of utilizing useful science for the good of country and humanity. 

Prof. Dr. Mona Bakr received a Ph.D. in chemistry from Georgia University, US, supervised by the Egyptian scientist Mostafa El-Sayed. She has 4 patents and nearly 56 internationally published scientific articles. Her research papers were quoted more than 1800 times.
