Cairo University Announces University Awards Winners for 2016

Cairo University announces the winners of 2016 university awards including award of excellence, award of merit, scientific excellence award, encouragement award and invention award. The winners names are announced at the council meeting held on 27/10/2016 according to the conditions and standards of application to every award as follows:


1-      Excellence award: Human and education sciences – social sciences – basic sciences – engineering sciences – medical sciences – interdisciplinary, multi-disciplined and future sciences – advanced technology sciences.


2-      Merit award: human and education sciences – social sciences – basic sciences – engineering sciences – medical sciences – advanced technology sciences – ideological and literary creativity (Naguib Mahfouz).


3-      Scientific excellence award: human and education sciences – social sciences – basic sciences – agricultural sciences – engineering sciences – medical sciences – interdisciplinary, multi-disciplined and future sciences – advanced technology sciences.


4-      Encouragement award: human and education sciences – social sciences – chemical sciences – biological sciences – agricultural sciences – engineering sciences – medical sciences – mathematics – physics – geological sciences.


5-      Invention award  


- The announcement determines application date from 1/11/2016 to 28/1/2017. Academic staff members presented their papers and scientific production according to application conditions of each award.


- The decrees of Prof. Dr. Cairo University President are issued for forming arbitration committees for each award in light of awards council recommendations of forming them.


- Arbitration decrees are issued.


- Decrees are presented to awards council in its meeting on 24/7/2017 ending with decrees for donating Cairo University awards as follows
