Cairo University Launches First Olympic Sports Activities

 Cairo University launches the first Olympic sports activities at faculties level including weightlifting, boxing, kung fu, taekwondo, football, swimming, squash, tennis, and speed-ball.


Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht earlier urged organizing this Olympiad during his meeting with Youth Care apparatus at Cairo University in the framework of preparing Olympic student-athletes. He gives orders of providing all requirements and preparations of Olympic success and allocating awards and incentives for team sports and individual sports in the framework of athletic honest competition among students.  


The Olympic sports activities continue until December 10, 2017.


The competitions are held at Cairo University playgrounds and indoor gymnasium at Faculty of Engineering. Some sports like table tennis and speed-ball are held at Cairo University campus.


Youth Care and Sport Activities Administration at Cairo University prepared the schedule of competitions and playgrounds for first Olympic sports activities launched by Cairo University for its students.
