Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Elkhosht said that the university scholars and researchers won 13 awards including State Awards of Merit, Awards of Encouragement, Awards of Excellence, Awards of Pioneers, and Awards of Woman. The awards are 57 one of State Awards with 22.8% percent including 5 Awards of Merit out of 10, 3 Awards of Encouragement, Award of Excellence, 2 Awards of Pioneers, and 2 Awards for the university female researchers from Awards of Woman.
Elkhosht added that Cairo University is meticulous in choosing state awards candidates who are subject to strict criteria of choice and motivating some researchers to apply to awards after studying their scientific history even if they did not apply by themselves. He illustrated that Cairo University Awards Senate consider those criteria in different nominations for the state award.
