Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Elkhosht announces the approval of 23 new credit-hour B.Sc. and B.A. programs at Cairo University faculties and blended education and the development of 3 professional post-graduate programs to start by the coming 2018/2019 academic year.
Elkhosht said that the programs come in the framework of devoting transformation into a third-generation university to education based on competition with similar programs at local and international universities and attraction of international students. The programs allow what is more than coping with developed educational systems in the framework of Cairo University and its faculties endeavor to transform into a third-generation university and Egyptian mind building towards entrepreneurship.
Cairo University President illustrates that the new special credit-hour programs include B.Sc. degree in physical therapy at Faculty of Physical Therapy and B.Sc. degree in agricultural sciences ،،Forestry Education,, at Faculty of Agriculture. The programs include 3 programs at Faculty of Engineering; Infrastructure Engineering program, Aviation Engineering and Management program, and Health Care Systems Engineering and Management. ،،Intensive Nursing program,, is developed at Faculty of Nursing. Two programs are developed at Faculty of Archaeology; Archaeology Guide program and Archaeology Information Systems program.
Elkhosht added that new 7 special credit-hour programs are approved for Faculty of Arts Cairo University to start by the coming academic year; including five specialized translation programs, English Creative Writing program, and a program for geographical survey, information systems, and remote sensing. This is a crucial educational leap for Faculty of Arts and Cairo University. Elkhosht pointed out that the programs will present a distinctive education service to a large sector of students who are looking forward to studying specialized translation and geographical information systems and remote sensing which are urgently requested and chosen in the light of job market.
Cairo University President proceeds that 7 programs will start at new blended education in educational fields for early childhood and arts; B.Sc. degree in ،،kindergarten teachers preparation in English,, , B.Sc. degree in ،،preparation of teachers of mentally hindered children,,. B.A. in English translation, B.A. in psychology, B.A. in historical studies, B.A. in applied sociology, B.A. in digital publication and storage, and B.Sc. of professional commerce ،،business science,, are also developed at blended education.
Cairo University faculties are scheduled to organize orientation lectures about the programs for students of GSC and equal certificates within the coming days. Elkhosht added that 3 professional post-graduate programs are developed; professional M.Sc. in entrepreneurship at Faculty of Economics and Political Science in cooperation with Ministry of Planning and Cambridge University at UK, program for granting degree in Lands Sustainable Management with European credit-hour system at Faculty of Agriculture, and monuments restoration program at Faculty of Archaeology.
