此次访问会晤旨在加强埃及和中国在教育、科研等各个领域关系合作。出席会晤的还有中国驻埃及大使馆高级官员卢春生先生、人工智能与创新研究院院长Qi Yuan、信息科学与技术学院院长Chi Nan、人类现象研究院执行院长Tian Mei、全球公共政策研究院院长Jing Yijia、复旦大学国际文化交流学院副主任Luo Jianbo、复旦大学全球公共政策研究所项目主任Xu Yefang、开罗大学文学院中文系主任、孔子学院院长Rehab Sobh博士。

Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University(CU), welcomed to his CIU office a delegation from China’s Fudan University in China, one of the top universities in international classifications, headed by Dr. Jin Li, President of the University, and a high-level delegation from the Chinese Embassy, ​​as part of the efforts of the two universities to enhance academic and scientific cooperation. 

Dr. Elkhosht emphasized that Cairo University welcomes reinforcing cooperation with prestigious Chinese institutions, noting that CU is keen on developing international cooperation in various fields, including with China, on strategic areas shared by both countries.

During the meeting, prospects for cooperation between the two universities were discussed in various fields, the most important of which were the exchange of students and researchers, the establishment of dual academic programs and degrees, conducting scientific research, exchanging experiences, and holding joint conferences and seminars.

This meeting is part of a more general effort to reinforce relations between Egypt and China in various fields, including education and scientific research.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation, the Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology, the Executive Dean of the Institute of Human Phenomena, the Dean of the Institute of Global Public Policy, the Dean of the School of International Cultural Exchange, the Deputy Director of the Office of Global Partnerships at Fudan University, and the Program Director of the Institute of Global Public Policy at Fudan University, as well as Dr. Rehab Sobhi, Head of the Chinese Language Department at the Faculty of Arts and Director of the Confucius Institute at Cairo University.
