Cairo University is Neutral and Impartial Concerning Current Events

On 29/7/2013, Cairo University's Council, headed by Dr.\ Hussam Kamel, President of Cairo University, has held a meeting. Dr.\ Hussam Kamel's presidency of the university has ended by the end of July. Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, who received the tasks of Cairo University by the beginning of August 2013, has attended the meeting. In the meeting, the council discussed the current events of Cairo University in the light of Al-Nahda sit-in.


The council confirmed that the university is neutral and impartial concerning current events. Cairo University does not allow using its establishments in any security task or clashes between adversaries.
