Cairo University exerts efforts for pushing forward steps of carrying out project of institute and hospital of endemic diseases and epidemics, in order for the institute to be the first research and therapeutic institute in Egypt and the Middle East presenting health service of high level in field of combating, diagnosing and treating endemic diseases in Egypt. In this framework, Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University and Dr.\ Ali Abdul-Rahman, Governor of Giza, have made a visit to the project's location of Al-Haram Main Street at Giza on April 1, 2014. They surveyed the structural works of the first stage and followed up completion of carrying out this stage which includes a building accommodating 120 beds, external clinics, intensive care department, rays rooms, laboratories and blood bank costing 120 million EGP.
