Prof. Dr.\ Hossam Kamel, Cairo University's President has confirmed that the university's administration will not ignore the current requests of employees and administratives who look forward to getting their salaries increased, pointing out that he understands that it is their right to be equal to staff members, and that they also have the right of getting their salaries increased. He also commented on the protests of the university's employees and their request of getting their salaries increased, saying that he met their representatives at his office, explaining to them the financial condition of the university, and the steps it has carried out during the previous period in enhancing financial and social conditions of employees at the university, such as bonuses of private funds, Health and Medicine Care project, and increasing the university's allowance to 200 %.
Prof. Dr.\ Hossam kamel has also confirmed that the university has finished equipping the entire studies of constructing the international branch of the university at the 6th of October, pointing out that he will issue a memorandum to both ministers of High Education and Investment concerning constructing the branch and entrusting the matter to the Prime Minister to approve it. Pointing out that the branch will present educational and research services through 4 faculties in fields of tourism, administrative science, nursing, and engineering, in conjunction with advanced foreign universities. The memorandum also includes constructing new Oncology Institute, El Sheikh Zayed city.
