Cairo University Launches a Medical Convoy for Employees of Suez Canal Development Project

On August 26, 2014, Cairo University launches a therapeutic medical convoy for medical examination and conducting comprehensive checkups for employees at Suez Canal Development Project. The convoy includes a number of Professors from Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and a team from Faculty of Nursing and technicians. The convoy is supervised by Dr.\ Khaled Hendawy, Acting Dean of Faculty of Medicine, and Dr.\ Mohamed Shehata, General Supervisor of Medical Convoys.


Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has said so pointing out that the medical convoy is equipped with a mobile tests laboratory, medical equipment and medicine for conducting medical checkups and offering free medicine for project employees. The convoy is also training the project’s employees on first aids. The university will be looking with operators of the project if there is a possibility of periodic presence of medical convoys at Cairo University to follow up on health cases of project’s employees.
