Cairo University President: ،Language is not only Qualification Tool for Labor Market but also Mean of Openness to Civilizations,

 Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht said that ،،The efforts exerted in developing student skills, entrepreneurship, labor market skills, and others should not be confined to courses and complementary training programs. These skills should be incorporated into regular curriculum and study subjects to students and taught by lecturers in universities and schools.,, He pointed out that ،،All sciences are complementary and in the framework of comprehensive science.,,


Elkhosht added, in a speech he delivered in ،،English for Life: Opportunities and Challenges,, conference organized by Faculty of Engineering Cairo University on Thursday, October 12, 2017, morning, that ،،The role of language is not restricted to being a tool of qualification for labor market.,, He added ،،It is, however, a mean of openness to other civilizations and global cultures, promotion of culture and ideological system, development of life concept and views, consequently, behaviors leading to development and serving Cairo University vision towards transformation into a third-generation university.,,  


Cairo University President acclaims the efforts exerted by Faculty of Engineering Cairo University in English for Life project in the framework of Pathways to Higher Education (PHE) project. The project bridges the gap between theoretical education and labor market requirements through training students on acquiring different life skills.  


Faculty of Engineering Dean Cairo University Sayed Tag-Eldin referred to the role of Faculty of Engineering in entrepreneurship and presenting projects that serve Egyptian society.


The Coordinator of Pathways to Higher Education (PHE) Project Mohsen Mahdy said that ،،The project is aimed at bridging the gap between higher education and labor market requirements by training students of Egyptian Universities on acquiring varied life skills and entrepreneurship to increase their opportunities in labor market.,,


The Director of Ford Foundation in the Middle East and North Africa Noha Mekkawy pointed out that ،،This project is a hopeful experience as it represents the social equality values because English is important language for any person regardless of his or her educational background.,,


Pathways to Higher Education (PHE) project is international project financed by Ford Foundation and globally implemented in 14 states including Egypt.
