Professor Gaber Nassar Visits the New Kasr El Aini Teaching Hospital and Check on a Student’s Health Condition

Professor GaberNassar, President of Cairo University, has visited New Kasr El Aini Teaching Hospital. He met Professor Nabil Abdul-Maksoud, The Hospital Director, some physicians and administrators. Nassar has discussed the hospital development plan which targets regaining the lead and raising the efficiency of the medical and therapeutic service offered by the hospital to patients. This is included in the context of following-up the implementation of the recommendations of the special committee formed by the university administration for developing New Kasr El Aini Teaching Hospital.
Cairo University President has confirmed that the university hospitals are educational and therapeutic edifices, and that there is a plan for studying the conditions of each hospital aiming at raising efficiency and offering the best therapeutic services for citizens. He pointed out that the rate of jobs in the university hospitals is more than 100%. He confirmed that a group of procedures have been adopted by the university administration for modifying a work system, inside New Kasr El Aini Teaching Hospital, that works on enhancing health care inside the hospital. Cairo University is keen on following-up the conditions of Cairo University hospitals and its therapeutic units whether paid therapeutic services representing 5% only or free services representing 95%. He pointed out that the university administration works on developing the hospitals and does not reject any therapeutic services requested by citizens.
During his visit to the hospital, Nassar has assured of the health of Mahmoud Badawy, a student at Faculty of Physical Therapy, who was hit by a car driven by a student at the German University days ago inside The Sport Hostel subordinated to the university. He visited him accompanied by Professor Nabil Abdul-Maksoud, the Hospital Director.
Professor Gaber Nassar has ordered editing an official minutes concerning the accident at Giza Police Station for accusatorial system, and referring four security personnel for investigation for allowing the entry of the student with her car.
It is scheduled that Nassar will make similar visits during the next week for some university hospitals starting with the National Cancer Institute in the context of the university’s efforts for activating the plans of Cairo University hospitals advancement.
