Cairo University Launches 4 Research Projects in Oncology, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Electrical Power with Hiroshima University

A cooperation agreement is expandingly activated in Japan during the current visit of Cairo University delegation, headed by Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar, to Japan after an invitation from Hiroshima University. The cooperation agreement between the two universities will include, within three months, launching 4 research projects in fields of oncology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and electrical power. These joint researches are equally financed by the self-resources of the two universities of value that equals USD 25, 000. The scientific cooperation agreement between Cairo University and Hiroshima University is signed in the light of strategic cooperation in fields of education and scientific research between the governments of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Japan. The agreement comes as a realization of the education initiative launched by both the Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Sisi and the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Api.

The two universities agreed upon the selection of two teaching staff members of Hiroshima University in specialties of agriculture and arts to be hosted at Cairo University for a year. Hiroshima University covers the expenses of travelling and salaries whereas Cairo University bears the expenses of stay and interior transfers.

The agreement was signed at Hiroshima University by Cairo University President Gaber Nassar and Hiroshima University President Mitsuo Ochi. The agreement signature is attended by Cairo University delegation. Cairo University delegation is composed of Cairo University Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs Amr Adly, Faculty of Agriculture Dean Hany Al-Shimy, National Cancer Institute Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Abdel-Rahman Zekry, Professor of Faculty of Engineering Ahmed Hazin and leaders and some professors of Hiroshima University.

Cairo University President Gaber Nassar said that ،،Cairo University is keen on deepening cooperation that is based on partnership with Japanese institutions of education and scientific research. Cairo University welcomes the activation of academic cooperation agreement between the two universities to encompass researchers from both universities who conduct joint scientific research in vital developmental fields. The university also welcomes joint visits that serve educational process in Cairo University.,,

Hiroshima University President Mitsuo Ochi said that ،،Hiroshima University has plans for extending cooperation with Cairo University whether in educational process or scientific research.,, He asserts the importance of broadening cooperation horizons and fields with Cairo University which is the most important university in the Middle East having global goodwill.,,

Cairo University Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs Amr Adly commends the scientific cooperation with Hiroshima University which is one of the best universities all over the world. He asserts that the benefit of research cooperation between the two universities will be great especially for Cairo University.
