Cairo University Council Discusses Second Term Exams Arrangements at Faculties, Students with Special Needs Committees

Cairo University Council reviewed in its meeting, headed by Cairo University President Gaber Nassar, on Monday April 24, 2017, the arrangements of second term exams at Cairo University faculties that are going to start by mid-May, 2017.
The council urged, in its meeting, following up exam progress at faculties by deans and vice-deans, remedying any problem during exams, forming special committees for patients, at Students Hospital, and students with special needs and providing them with companions.
Cairo University Council urged equipping exams halls with all means of comfort for students to perform their exams, keeping halls clean, providing exams committees with security procedures, and the attendance of professors on time of the subjects they teach.
The council stressed that academic staff members should not travel abroad during exams except for urgent cases and after the permission of Cairo University President and no excuses will be accepted except after the approval of Cairo University Vice-President, Faculty Dean and the University President. The council highlighted the implementation of cheating punishments among students after approved by the university council.
Cairo University Council mourned, in its meeting, the late mathematics scientist and Full Professor of Faculty of Science Atteya Ashour. He is one of the most prominent scientists of Egypt and the world. The council also mourned late Comparative Literature Dean, critic and Professor of Dar Al-Ulum Al-Taher Mekki.
