In the meeting held on 25/11/2013, Cairo University Council, headed by Dr. Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has approved accrediting the results of Open University Center of July 2013.

The council approved establishing Neuroscience and its surgery Center at Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy and the Sixth of October branch. It will be funded from the Islamic Bank for Development stating from 2014 in cooperation with Neurology Department, Neurosurgery Department and Diagnostic Radiology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy.
