Cairo University Coordinates with Giza Governorate to Develop the Areas that Surround the University

 Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has confirmed that there is a continuous coordination between the university and Giza Governorate to develop Cairo University's vicinity, restoring its civilized form and demolishing the slums that surround it. Dr.\ Nassar has also praised the efforts exerted by Giza Governorate in carrying out the plan of developing Cairo University's vicinity in cooperation with the university.

Giza Governorate received a letter from Cairo University contains a demand from the urgent Deans Council of the university on April 3, 2014 asking for the necessity of evacuating the surrounding area of the university from street vendors and random means of transportation due to its danger on the university.

Giza Governorate started to adopt executive procedures to meet the needs of Cairo University in developing the surrounding area of Cairo University, deportation of street vendors and removing slums and random means of transportation away from Cairo University's vicinity. The governorate has also revised the licenses of the booths that are found in the vicinity of Cairo University. Dr.\ Ali Abdul-Rahman, Governorate of Cairo University, has held a meeting with the executive Council of Giza Governorate attended by executive and security leaderships to set a plan to develop Cairo University vicinity.
