Director of Al-Kasr Al-Aini Hospital: Our Ethical Conscience Never Allows Us to Manipulate Medical Reports

Dr.\ Timor Mustafa, Director of New Kasr El-Aini Teaching Hospital, has said that doctors have rescued Khaled Hussein, editor of youm7 Newspaper, who was injured in the events witnessed by Cairo University on April 14, 2014. This is considered a miracle as the bleeding continued for about an hour resulting in losing 3 liters of blood, and his blood pressure was 60/40.

He pointed out in his statements to the journalists, who were in the hospital to visit the two colleagues, that Amr El-Sayed's case, a photographer in Sada El-Balad News Channel, is good and stable and that the projectile is still in his body and that he is under follow-up, proper care and attention.

He illustrated that the two journalists arrived the hospital late which lead to bleeding a great amount of blood. However, the doctors managed to rescue them. He also pointed out that Dr.\ Nashwa Abed, Professor of Critical Cases, and her medical team managed to rescue Khaled amid intense interest from all the doctors at the hospital.

Dr.\ Timor stressed that the hospital will submit its final report to the prosecutor without any considerations, adding that doctors are the address of the truth, they never manipulate any report or be biased to one party than another, they only adhered to conscience and professional ethics, and they do not need a recommendation about it from anybody.
