Cairo University: No One can interfere in the Investigations conducted by the University with Staff Members

In its statement, Cairo University has stressed that the investigations which are done with staff members of the university, in general, are conducted by professors of Faculty of Law. These investigations and what it lead to are made according to their vocational and legal conscience and no one can interfere in it whether from inside the university or outside it.



The statement has also stated that what one of the electronic press websites published about exerting pressure on the university and its president to keep the investigation with Dr.\ Bakinam El-Sharkawy is absolutely wrong. Keeping the investigation has only come in what is related to her secondment to the presidential team of the previous president. This secondment has been done through valid procedures and Dr.\ Bakinam El-Sharkawy did not earn any sums of money from the university during the period of secondment. The investigations which are related to inciting violence or participating in demonstrations that violate the law are still under investigation of Dr.\ Hasan Al-Gamey, Vice Dean of Faculty of Law, Cairo University.
