Date :2015-08-13 20:12:11

Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, said that he contacted with Minister of Electricity asking for speeding the return of the electric current of Cairo University Hospitals where it returned within 15 minutes. Different areas in Cairo and Giza witnessed power failure on Tuesday, August 11, due to the severe heat wave.

Nassar added that Cairo University hospitals were not affected by the power cut because of the readiness of the generators which in turn provided enough electricity at New and Old Kasr Al-Aini Hospitals and Abo Reesh Mounira Hospital. Minister of Petroleum sent two diesel vehicles to cover the needs of electric generators at Cairo University Hospitals.

University Hospital sources at Cairo University have confirmed that no losses occurred at the hospitals which did not hang their work both in intensive care and operations. The Children Hospital, affiliated to Cairo University, has received a number of children from the neighboring hospitals, affiliated to Ministry of Health.
