Prof Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadek, President of Cairo University, announced that the Faculty of Arts has renewed its ISO 9001/2015 certification. He emphasised Cairo Universitys commitment to applying all standard quality criteria and international specifications across its faculties, administrations, and centres. The university ensures that all necessary resources and capabilities are provided to keep pace with global advancements in educational and research systems, with the goal of elevating the university to the prestigious global status it deserves.
The university president further added that the renewal of the Faculty of Arts ISO certification reflects the quality of its performance and ongoing educational and administrative development, which are the result of collaborative efforts among faculty members, administrative staff, and employees.
For her part, Prof Naglaa Raafat, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, stated that the ISO international standard certification is one of the most significant global certifications for reviewing administrative systems. It ensures that documents align with actual practice based on quality system requirements such as institutional context, leadership, planning, support, operations, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement. The planning, execution indicators, and corrective actions taken to ensure public satisfaction with the various services provided by the faculty are all scrutinised. She praised the significant support provided by the university administration to drive development and excellence in learning outcomes.
It is worth noting that Cairo University has successfully made significant strides in international academic and administrative accreditation. Most of its faculties and institutes have received national quality accreditation or renewed their accreditation, bringing about administrative reforms, enhancing the quality of administrative performance, moving towards decentralised management, and creating a positive administrative environment that contributes to achieving the universitys vision of developing its work, administrative performance, and increasing productivity in line with its strategic goals.
