Cairo University Officially Requests Taking Back the Trust from Teaching Staff Members Club

On behalf of the university council, Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has sent a letter to Dr.\ Ali Abdul-Rahman, Governor of Giza, and Dr.\ Ghada Waly, Minister of Social Solidarity, as they are the two authorities which are responsible for censoring the club as a civil association.  The letter stated the breaches of Teaching Staff Members Club - Cairo University.


Cairo University’s letter to Giza governor contained a request of proceeding necessary procedures to invite staff members of the university to unusual general assembly to take back trust from board of directors of Teaching Staff Members Club – Cairo University.


The university’s letter to Giza governor referred to several breaches, such as; the club’s board of director belonging to a specified political stream which is Muslim Brotherhood group which has been approved by the cabinet as a terrorist group. The letter has also referred to the fact that the club’s board of director has formed a front called “Universities against Coup d’état”, inciting violence and calling for strike and discontinuing study and exams of the university through pages of social communication websites.
