Professor Gaber Nassar Inaugurates the Fifth International Conference of Physics Department at the New Central Library

Professor Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has inaugurated the fifth international conference organized by the Physics Department, Faculty of Science – Cairo University, entitled “Modern Trends in Physics Research”, on December 17, 2014, at 5 p.m., at the Central Library, Cairo University.

The conference is sponsored and attended by Professor Gamal Essmat, Vice President of Cairo University for Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Al-Sayed Fahim, Dean of Faculty of Science, Professor Lotfeya Al-Nady, Rapporteur of the Conference and Professor of Physics, Faculty of Science. A group of scientists from the US, Russia, India, Sudan have attended the conference. Professor Hall Murad, Moscow University, Russia has given Professor Lotfeya a commemorative gift.

Nassar has said that he seeks boosting the joint scientific research conducted by more than one department inside the same faculty or between the faculties of the university, and that the joint research will have the priority of boosting. Nassar added that the universities organizing law will be amended to allow the possibility of marketing the scientific researches.

Fahim, Dean of the Faculty of Science, has said in the speech he delivered at the conference that this conference achieves the integration between all the departments of the faculty and is not confined to the physics department alone. The conference is an opportunity for all the departments of the faculty as new ideas, common between more than one department, will be displayed for research and implementation.
