Cairo University: Investigating in the Complaint of the Disappearance of Some Files of National Cancer Institute Patients is Continuous and the Public Magistrate is satisfied with the Procedures Adopted by Cairo University

 Cairo University has stressed the issuance of public magistrate decree no. 4793 of year 2015, Sayed Zeinab police station, of date: July 27, 2015, concerning investigating in the communiqué submitted by Dr. Ghada Mahmoud El-Sayed El-Sherif, staff member at National Cancer Institute, who reported the loss of some files of the institute patients and the accusations that accompanied the communiqué of the probable illegal abuse of the institute patients data in these files. The procedures adopted by Cairo University concerning referring the matter to legal investigation in front of the investigator of Cairo University were enough which resulted in forming a committee on what was prescribed by the regulatory agencies, which began checking files, reviewing and finding a large number of them.

Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar has pointed out that the legal investigator of Cairo University as well as the formed committee are continuously working on and following-up this subject. He added that the university will announce the results of the findings of the committee concerning this subject as a way of respecting the right of public opinion in knowing. Cairo University President has also said that if it is proved that there is a contravention of any kind, the university will take the necessary legal action, stressing that the university will never ignore that complaint.
