Cairo University Launches Scientific Chair in Name of Late Mathematician Atteya Ashour of EGP 1, 000,000

Cairo University President Gaber Nassar announces the university council approval of launching a scientific chair in the name of late Professor of Mathematics at Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Atteya Ashour. Launching this scientific chair is aimed at commemorating him, honoring his great scientific contributions to Cairo University, and enriching scientific knowledge in mathematics. Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar pointed out that the chair is launched in his birth anniversary on September 13, 2017 of EGP 1,000, 000 with award in his name for best researchers in mathematics. Cairo University Council decides forming a committee of Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs and Faculty of Science Dean to decide the standards of the incentive exchanged in this regard to encourage scientific research in mathematics. The council decides allocating award of EGP 50, 000 in the name and field of late scientist of nanotechnology Mona Bakr.
