Elkhosht Awards Employee at Cairo University for Refusing Bribery

Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht honors the employee Hasan Mohamed Hasan, Storekeeper at Cairo University Open Education Center, and meets him at office. Mr. Hasan refused to accept a monetary bribery of EGP 50, 000 from a supplier to receive copycat inks of EGP 800, 000 for Cairo University Open Education Center.

The employee earlier reported the incident to Cairo University President who reported it to competent authorities to take the necessary action. Administrative Control Authority (ACA) ambushed the supplier and caught him trying to bribe the employee.  

Elkhosht expresses his gratitude to Administrative Control Authority (ACA) for their cooperation in the case. He shows his appreciation to the employee for his honesty, refusing bribery and preserving public money for Cairo University. Cairo University President decides donating EGP 10, 000 award and Cairo University shield to the employee. The monetary award represents 20% of the bribery refused by the employee.
