Faculty of Physical Therapy Student Conference Concludes Conference Work with Student New Ideas and Innovations

The first international student conference for Faculty of Physical Therapy Scientific Research entitled ،Scientific Research for a Better Practice, is held at Conference Center at Cairo University Hostel. It is sponsored by Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht and supervised by Acting Dean of Faculty of Physical Therapy Alaa Balbaa and Faculty Vice-Dean for Education and Students Gihan Elmeniawy. The conference continued for two days in participation with students of faculties of physical therapy from eight Egyptian Universities and two Lebanese Universities, besides Faculty of Engineering Cairo University student participation with innovations and new ideas in prosthetic device field. The conference is attended by elite of experts and professors in physical therapy inside Egypt and outside it. The conference discussed a group of student research in different fields of Physical therapy by research groups. Discussions were conducted, and questions, experiences and information were exchanged.
A seminar entitled ،Cairo University and Transformation into Third-Generation University (Smart University), was held as one of the conference activities. It is organized in the framework of Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht plan for transforming the university into a system that depends on entrepreneurship by graduating knowledge producers. Professor of Faculty of Science and the Manager of Strategic Planning Unit at Cairo University Haiman Zainalabedin talked in the seminar shedding light on the stages of Cairo University transformation into a third-generation university. He acclaims the quick steps taken by Faculty of Physical Therapy in this regard by obtaining international accreditation and adopting such research student conference to transfer students from science receivers to effective participators in research and knowledge production.
The conference aimed at developing student abilities to think creatively and conduct scientific research through research groups and entrepreneurship.
