Cairo University President Discusses Means of Scientific and Academic Cooperation with Hiroshima University

Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht and Hiroshima University delegation discuss means of cooperation between Cairo University and Hiroshima University in education and scientific research and training on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

The Japanese delegation encompasses Hiroshima University Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Yamamoto, Professor at Faculty of Engineering Hiroshima University Maxomorra, and Professor of Faculty of Medicine Hiroshima University Odan. The meeting is attended by Cairo University Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Amr Adly and Faculty of Agriculture Dean Amr Mostafa.

Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht expresses the aspiration of Cairo University to enhance and extend all forms of scientific and academic cooperation with Hiroshima University. He pointed out that there is already cooperation with Hiroshima University, and Cairo University looks forward to extending the domain of this cooperation in the coming period.

Elkhosht pointed out that Cairo University is concerned with launching joint scientific degrees in Bachelor and postgraduate studies stages to be granted by both Cairo University and Hiroshima University through cooperation protocol. These degrees are to be part of International Cairo University, which is being established at 6th of October City, essentially based on the idea of joint programs with foreign universities.

Hiroshima University Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Yamamoto assures Hiroshima University aspiration to supporting cooperation with Cairo University. He invites Cairo University President to visit Japan leading a delegation of Cairo University to sign a cooperation protocol between Cairo University and Hiroshima University in August.

Cairo University Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Amr Adly pointed out that Cairo University is concerned with cooperation with Japanese Universities especially in research fields, student exchange, and joint scientific supervision.
