Cairo University Offers Free Services of Breast Cancer Early Detection

National Institute of Laser Enhanced Sciences (NILES), Cairo University, offers a group of free health services for the female employees of Cairo University and their relatives, starting by Tuesday, May 26, 2015, lasting for a period of more than 15 days inside Cairo University campus at the yard between New Central Library and National Institute of Laser Enhanced Sciences.


The services are sponsored by Prof. Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, and Prof. Dr.\ Gamal Abdul-Nasser, Vice President of Cairo University for Community Service and Environment Development, in the framework of productive cooperation between Ministry of Health, Ministry of Higher Education, and activities of National Program for Women Health. These health services are represented in checking-up the rate of sugar in blood, checking-up blood pressure, and conducting breast screening and mammogram.


Prof. Dr.\ Manal Salah, Vice Dean of National Institute of Laser Enhanced Sciences for Community Service and Environment Development, has declared that the conditions of conducting breast examination are that the minimum age of the women is 40 years old, as well as providing ID number.


The Institute’s Vice Dean has also added that the examination is conducted through mobile unit which contains diagnosis devices of National Project for Breast Cancer Early Detection - Ministry of Health.
