Gaber Nassar Witnesses ،Common Human Moral Values among Peoples, Curriculum Preparation Awards Distribution Celebration

Cairo University President witnesses the celebration of distributing the preparation competition awards of the curriculum, entitled ،،Common Human Moral Values among Peoples,, , among the winning work teams of the first three places. The three awards are of EGP 225, 000 value; EGP 100, 000 for the first place, EGP 75, 000 for the second place and EGP 50, 000 for the third place.

Cairo University earlier launched the competition among the university professors and specialists for preparing a book on common human moral values among peoples.  The authors of the curriculum followed guiding specifications approved by Cairo University Deans Council and the committee formed for determining the curriculum specifications. This curriculum is an academic requirement for graduation from all the faculties and institutes of Cairo University. Students perform only one exam in this subject throughout their study at their faculties. The curriculum is aimed at providing students with the skills and trends of interacting with human heritage, increasing awareness of human rights, enhancing positive outlook towards the Other and reaching a critical understanding for their cultural identities.

Cairo University President handed awards to the winners during the awards distribution celebration of the curriculum preparation competition. The celebration is witnessed by Cairo University Vice-President for Education and Students Awards Mohamed Osman El-Khosht, Professor of Faculty of Arts and Cairo University Cultural Counselor Abd El-Tatawy, Professor of Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Education and former Dean of the faculty Samy Nassar, Dean of Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Education Aml Souidan, some other faculty deans and the winners including professors and researchers.

The team work of Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Education, at Cairo University, won the first-place award of the book preparation competition. The authors of the book, which is printed and approved for teaching, are Dr. Elham Farag, Dr. Shadia Abdel-Halim Tamam Metwally, Dr. Heba Mustafa Abdullah Ahmed, Dr. Ibrahim El-Desouky Awadullah, Dr. Sameh Ibrahim Awadullah, Mohamed El-Sayed Farag Almaz, Amr Mohamed Ibrahim Youssef, Amr Gaber Qorany Sayed, Abeer Ahmed Abdullah Hassanein.

Faculty of Engineering students, at Cairo University, won the second-place award. They are Ahmed Mahmoud Abu-Hadid, Amira Mohamed Meawad and Mohamed Yehia Ali Hemeida.

A team of M.A. and Ph.D. researchers at Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, won the third-place award. They are Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Halim Ateya, Abir Saad Abdel-Azim, Reda Abu-Bakr Taweel, Mirna Samy Mohamed Ibrahim, Ayman Abdullatif, Yasmin Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz and Eman Al-Amir Shahin.

،،The curriculum contains a group of themes including the concept of morals and human values such as human communication, dignity and rights. The book will be available for students on compact disks (CDs) and as print version at faculty libraries.,, , said Cairo University Vice-President for Education and Students Affairs Mohamed Osman El-Khosht.
