The Board of Directors of the Academy of Egypt, headed by Dr. Mahmoud Hafez, chairman of the compound and the General Assembly of the Council gives Dr. Hossam Kamel, president of the University of Cairo for the membership of the council.

The reasons included in Hossam in membership of the Council because of hid interest in science and culture and have the reputation of the local scientific and international scientific specialization and for his scientific excellence.
