Cairo University President: ،Installing Magnetic Resonance Imaging Device at Children Hospital with EGP 23, 000, 000 Value

Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Elkhosht agrees to allocate EGP 23, 000, 000 of the university resources to purchase magnetic resonance imaging device for Aboul Rish Children Hospital affiliated to Cairo University.

The technical committee formed from diagnostic radiotherapy professors earlier finished choosing required specifications and device type identification.

Medical resources reported that the device is a high technology and will lead to a breakthrough in diagnosis and consequently pediatric treatment at Aboul Rish Hospitals through accurate diagnosis and optimum treatment identification.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht said that Children Hospitals affiliated to the university were in urgent need to this device to diagnose some pediatric diseases. He illustrated that Cairo University is developing Aboul Rish Children Hospital by replacement and renovation of Diabetes and Endocrine Unit and Blood Diseases Unit and development of the rest of units and infrastructure.
