Cairo University President Meets Vice-President of Renmin University of China to Discuss Means of Cooperation of Belt and Road Initiative with Ain Shams University President Attending

Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Elkhosht meets Vice-President of Renmin University of China at office in October 21, 2018. The meeting is attended by Ain Shams University President, Chair of Chinese Department and Manager of Confucius Institute Cairo University Rehab Mahmoud, and Member of International Relations Office Cairo University Haidy Baioumy. The meeting handles means of fostering cooperation between Cairo University and Ain Shams University and Renmin University of China in the Belt and Road Initiative launched by China in the framework of developmental strategy that focuses on communication and cooperation between states.
Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Elkhosht greets Vice-President of Renmin University of China which is the top-ranked university in China that is concerned with the Belt and Road project in which Egypt participate as well. Cairo University President said that the university is concerned with opening all means of communication and developing avenues of cooperation with the outside world. Elkhsoht added that he realizes the importance of China as a political and economic super-power in relation to Egypt. He pointed out that the Road and Belt project is a great project not only for China, but it is a global project that helps communication between world states regarding both economic aspect and intercultural encounter. Elkhsoht said that the Chinese state is admired by him because it presents a model of economic state whose people are one with nature and world. He welcomes cooperation with Ain Shams University and Renmin University of China in the Road and Belt project.
The Vice-President of Renmin University of China said that the Chinese university incorporates all disciplines and has 81-year history. He pointed out that governmental officials graduated from the Chinese university which encompasses 24, 000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. He added that Renmin University of China incorporates 14 disciplines including law, journalism and media, economics, applied economy, commercial administration, sociology, and politics; including international relations, statistics, and philosophy. He added that Renmin University of China has 3 main faculties based on research and studies and applied research projects for the government that regards strategic and developmental targets as foremost priority to China. The Vice-President of Renmin University of China suggests, during the joint meeting, student exchange between Cairo University and Ain Shams University. The two Egyptian universities nominate top-ranked students to study at Renmin University of China in full scholarships and in turn students of Renmin University of China study at Cairo University and Ain Shams University.
