Cairo University President Earmarks 50 Thousand EGPs for Boosting the Short Stage Show Festival

Professor Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, has issued a decree of earmarking 50, 000 EGPs for boosting the short stage show festival which is held on the level of the university and organized by Arts Administration at Youth Care, Cairo University on theaters inside and outside the university. The activities of the festival will continue until December 21, 2014. It is scheduled the first place winning team will be escalated to represent Cairo University in Ebdaa 3 Competition which is organized by Ministry of Youth starting on December 25. Shields will be delivered to the faculties that win the first five places in the short stage show festival as well as earmarking monetary prizes to students.

Nassar has confirmed that Cairo University seriously seeks reviving the artistic movement and the theatrical activity on its stages. He pointed out that the university faculties contain large creative energies among students that should be encouraged and provided with factors of success. He said that the university will boost the theatrical activity which has the ability to help youth expressing their opinions, thoughts, problems and society issues freely. He expressed his hope in the strong return of the university theater to perform its role in enlightening and exploring youth talents. He confirmed that theatrical activity will last along the year and that the university will earmark a special budget to all what university theaters need of equipments and preparation.
