Cairo University Grants Honorary Doctorate to Two Holy Mosques Custodian

On its meeting on April 7, 2016, Cairo University Council unanimously decided to grant an honorary doctorate to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King of Saudi Arabia.


The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has a unique role and great influence at the Arab and international level. King Al Saud also has prominent contributions in serving Arabism, Islam and Muslims, his support to Egypt and its people, and a remarkable role in boosting Cairo University.


His majesty launched a historic project for developing Cairo University hospitals to enable them to perform its mission towards Egyptian society and the Arab World. This is in the light of the proposal of Faculty of Medicine Council.
