Cairo University President: ،Awareness Week Organized for New Students by Advent of Upcoming Academic Year,

Cairo University organizes awareness week for Cairo University students on occasion of the upcoming academic year 2017/2018 which necessitates receiving students. The week activities are sponsored by Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht, and held over 5 days in the period from September 17 to 21at Grand Celebration Hall and Cairo University playgrounds.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Osman Elkhosht said that ،،Awareness week is aimed at informing Cairo University new students of their university, its history, facilities, social and service projects and important places in it.,, He added ،،Awareness week is intended to acquaint students with the details of their new community and allow them to know their new and preceding students who will participate in it.,,

Cairo University Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development Saeed Daw pointed out that ،،The week activities start from Sunday, September 17, 2017, to receive new students at Grand Celebration Hall in participation with preceding students form different faculties.,, Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Elkhosht delivers a  welcoming speech which will be followed by screening documentary films on the history of Cairo University emergence, a simple map for Cairo University faculties, social and service units at Cairo University and famous graduates. Artists, writers and poets graduated from Cairo University are to be honored. The first day is to be concluded by a show for the theatrical team of Faculty of Arts.

Documentary films about Central Library and some service centers and units of Cairo University such as Center for Foreign Languages and Professional Translation, Community Service Center, Skills Development and Entrepreneur Unit – FEPS, Anti-Harassment Unit, Students Hospital, Cairo University Hostel, playgrounds and theater will be screened in the following days. Some artistic shows for Cairo University talents, short films for raising students awareness against the risks of smoking, electronic crimes and corruption, and other activities will be presented in the week. Student activities will be held at Cairo University playgrounds at Hostel.
