Cairo University Fires Five Faculty Members Convicted on Terrorism Charges

 Cairo University officially suspends 5 faculty members at Cairo University being involved with the outlawed Al Ikhwan al Muslimin (Muslim Brotherhood). The resolution includes Dr. Rashad Mohamed Ali El-Baioumy Professor of Faculty of Science, Dr. Bakinam Rashad Hasan El-Sharqawy Professor of Faculty of Economics and Political Science, and Dr. Essameldin Abdelhalim Hashish Professor of Faculty of Engineering.


The resolution also includes Dr. Ahmed Mohamed El-Zoheiry Professor of Faculty of Agriculture and Dr. Abdelrahman Omar El-Shabrawy Professor of Faculty of Pharmacy.


The names mentioned above are convicted on terrorism charges and, therefore, they lose good conduct condition and disqualified from public offices.


Cairo University Council terminates their services pursuant to article 8 year 2015 regarding the list of terrorist entities and terrorists.
