Conference of Open Education Assessment Center at Cairo University Demands Special Strategy for Open Education System

Concluding its missions, Conference of Open Education Assessment Center of Egyptian Universities, organized by Cairo University, demanded special strategy for open education system, provided that this strategy includes modification of laws and regulations of open education that allow students to join open education after three years or more since obtaining El-Thanaweya El-Amma Certificate or any equivalent certificate, as well as setting governing standards to its educational programs.


They should also include implementation of educational programs related to requirements of labor market, and new specializations for those who have technical qualifications.


The conference confirmed the importance of establishing open education graduates link and establishing a council that includes all open education centers at the level of the Republic of Egypt to coordinate between those centers. The conference also demanded to achieve recognition of open education in Arab countries like the Arab Open University.


It also called for revising the process of assessment and student exams throughout the academic term that evaluation is not only confined to final exams, activation of using educational multimedia in teaching, and regular assessment of the educational system.
