Cairo University Honors its Scientists, Researchers, Thinkers and Youth Innovators in Science Day

On Sunday, December 21, 2014, Cairo University has honored its scientists, thinkers, researchers who won state and university awards of year 2014, as well as the youth innovators of Faculty of Engineering at its Science Day Celebration, at Grand Celebration Hall, Cairo University. The celebration was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Minister of Health, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, a number of Egyptian public figures, university professors and students. The honorees were 41 in various fields.


The activities of Science Day witnessed signing a protocol between the university and the Ministry of Youth for carrying out joint youth activities and programs that aim at implementing a group of youth programs and activities between Cairo University and Ministry of Youth and Sports in various cultural, artistic and sports fields that enhance youth capabilities and polish their talents. The protocol has been signed by Professor Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University and Engineer Khaled Abdul-Aziz, Minister of Youth and Sports. The celebration has also witnessed launching the first Egyptian children orchestra show by Selim Sahab from the Grand Celebration Hall. He presented a concert accompanied by children choir in concluding Science Day activities.
