On Thursday, February 12, 2015, a lecture will be delivered by Professor Mostafa A. El-Sayed, the Head of the Laser Dynamics Lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology – Atlanta. It is entitled “Nanotechnology For All: Advanced Technology for Developing Countries”. It will be held in the context of the cultural and artistic season at Cairo University, at 5 p.m., at Grand Celebration Hall.

Nanotechnology is the science that deals with the matter of the atomic and molecular scale. It also interested in inventing new ways which dimensions measured by Nanometer which is part of a millimeter. It also has the advantage of studying the characteristics of matter as well as biology. Some countries have started to work on these technical studies and other countries, including Egypt, has done research centers and specialized studies of nanotechnology.

In the health field, for example, physicians will have the ability to control some small tumors which would not previously be controlled.

The experts were unanimous that the most important technical development is the Electronics Silicon invention as its development has lead to the emergence of what is called small slides, which led to the technical revolution in communications, medical computer and others.
