Cairo University continues its cultural and artistic season in the current academic year 2014/2015 with organizing the theatrical show “After Night” on March 15, 2015, on the theater of The Grand Celebration Hall. The play is written and directed by Khaled Galal. The play revolves around the social and economic condition in Egypt after the January 25 Revolution. It also discusses delayed marriage, harassment, immigration, travelling abroad, social communication problems and the Egyptian media.
The artist Fattouh Ahmed, Head of The Theater House, has agreed with Professor Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, on displaying a number of The Theater House’s plays on Cairo University’s theaters in order to be watched by a larger number of the university students.
On March 18, 2015, The Grand Celebration Hall witnesses a meeting, entitled “A Reading on Present and Future”, with the great poet Farouk Gouida who will read a number of his poems in the presence of Cairo University President and students. Noteworthy, the meeting was scheduled to be held on February 16, and then it was postponed because of the mourning case that Egypt experienced after martyring a number of Egyptians in Libya at the hands of the terrorist ISIS.
