Al Maktoum Library has been inaugurated at Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. It is donated by Al Maktoum Foundation in the United Arab Emirates. The library is considered the first library, at the Egyptian universities, to be dedicated for serving academic members, assistant staff and post-graduate students.
The inauguration was witnessed by Ali Al-Hashemi, Religious Advisor to the UAE President, Dr.\ Mirza Hussain Al Sayegh, Board Member at Al Maktoum Foundation, Dr.\ Hala Al-Said, Dean of Faculty of Economics and Political Science, and a number of the faculty’s academic staff and students.
Prof. Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, offered thanks and appreciation for United Arab Emirates for their contribution to the inauguration of Al Maktoum Library for Scientific Research at Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. He confirmed that this contribution asserts the depth of the Egyptian Emirati relationship.
Dr.\ Mirza Hussain Al Sayegh, Board Member at Al Maktoum Foundation, has referred to the instructions of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance concerning boosting Al Maktoum Library, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, with 50, 000 $ to equip the library with all what it needs of tools and devices.
