Cairo University Spreads “Egypt is Beautiful” Contest in Photography Launched by State Information Service

A letter has been sent from Ministry of Higher Education to Cairo University concerning the announcement of “Egypt is Beautiful” contest in photography. It is launched by State Information Service.



The contest is available for all Egyptians, all ages and governorates.





State Information Service has monitored valuable monetary awards at the level of the republic and all governorates, as well as certificates of merit for all participants and extra material and moral incentives. State Information Service will organize national exhibition for the outstanding photos by the end of next June, as well as printing catalogue of superior quality which includes these photos for promoting positive image of Egypt through many languages inside and outside, as well as spreading these photos in the headquarters of our diplomatic missions all over the world.





The arbitration of this contest is conducted by a high-level committee of the most prominent Egyptian artists in photography field.



State Information Service has specified means of participation in the contest through sending photos to the contest’s page on the service’s website www.sis.gov.eg, or submitting the participant photos ( 5 photos for each participant at maximum) to one of the interior media centers or assemblies affiliated to the service and circulated all over the governorates.  





The contest committee has specified the artistic specifications of the required photos and spread it on the website of State Information Service as well as the contest’s page on Facebook Fb.com/sis.photography.contest. For inquiry, you can contact via e-mail:  Sisphotocontest2015@gmail.com.





The Awards of the Contest:

1.     The first winner: 5000 EGPs

2.     The second winner: 3000 EGPs

3.     The third winner: 2000 EGPs

4.     The fourth winner- the tenth winner: 1000 EGPs

5.     Awards have been allocated for participants with special needs.

6.     Extra awards

7.     State Information Service offers monetary and in kind awards as well as touristic tours for outstanding participants of all governorates.

8.     State Information Service offers certificates of excellence for winners and certificates of merit for all participants.

9.     State Information Service is responsible for printing and presenting the winning and selected photos in forms of catalogues of superior quality on which the photographers’ names will be written. It will be issued in many languages and distributed inside and outside.

10. A massive national exhibition will be held in Cairo for exhibiting the winning and outstanding photos after printing them in suitable sizes with the potential of transforming the exhibition to some governorates later.
