Community Service and Environment Development Sector, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University, organizes the first international conference on scientific research and its practical applications, under the slogan of "Steps towards a Society without Disability", at 10 a.m., on the 24th of October, 2015, for two days, at Grand Celebration Halls, Cairo University.
The conference is sponsored by Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University. It is supervised and attended by Prof. Dr. Said El-Daw, Vice President of Cairo University for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Balbaa, Dean of Faculty of Physical Therapy, and Prof. Dr. Gihan El-Meniawy, Faculty Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development. It is also attended by a group of professors and specialists in medicine and physical therapy field as well as the participation of delegations from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Oman, Italy and Jordan.
Prof. Dr. Gihan El-Meniawy, Faculty Vice Dean, declared that the conference aims at benefitting from applying the results of scientific research in different fields of physical therapy. It also aims at discussing joint research between physical therapy and other specialties for community service with its different categories. She pointed out that the conference themes are represented in textures deformities and problems of school children, biotechnology and its relation to physical therapy, and the role of scientific research in meeting the needs of those with special needs.
