Cairo University Launches ،،Your Health, Egyptian Citizen,, Festival on Sunday

New Central Library – Cairo University holds health awareness festival, entitled ،،Your Health, Egyptian Citizen,, under the theme of ،، Egypt without Anemia,, . The festival is to be held at 10, 30, on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at El-Qassemy Hall, Fifth floor, New Central Library. Activities of the festival are continuous until Thursday, April 21.

The festival is sponsored by Prof. Dr. Gaber Nassar, Cairo University President, Prof. Dr. Amr Adly, Cairo University Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs. It is also sponsored by Long live Egypt Fund, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Amany Refaat, Director of Central Library.

Elite of Egyptian figures participate in the festival. Health Minister, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Emad-Eldin, Former Housing Minister, Prof. Dr. Hala Youssef, participate in the festival. Elite of famous and general figures, ambassadors and men of media also participate, including Long Live Egypt Fund CEO, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Ashmawy, Advisor to President of Republic of Egypt and Founder of 57357 Hospital, Prof. Dr. Sherif Abul-Naga. Moreover, Pharmacist Syndicate Chief, Prof. Dr. Mohei-Eldin Ebeid, General Secretary of Egyptian Red Crescent, Prof. Dr. Moamena Kamel, Director of Egypt without Anemia Project, Prof. Dr. Hussein Farag, and Head of Misr Foundation for Health and Sustainable Development, Prof. Dr. Amr Hassan, take part in the festival. Furthermore, Head of National Council for Women of Egypt, Prof. Dr. Maya Morsy, Head of Cairo University General Health Department, Prof. Dr. Mona El-Lawendy, Dean of Faculty of Arts – Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Suzan El-Quilliny, participate in the festival. Additionally, Egyptian media man, Amr El-Leithy, Director of Programs and Projects Sector of Long Live Egypt Fund, prof. Dr. Manal Shahin, ISESCO Ambassador, Prof. Dr. Salah El-Gaafarawy, and Head of Sono Cairo, Prof. Mohamed El-Omary, take part in the festival as well.

Prof. Dr. Amany Refaat, Director of New Central Library, said that the festival aims at increasing health awareness of students, employees and all individuals of society by medical and therapeutic convoys, conducting comprehensive health checkup and distributing health support publications.

Refaat added that the festival is one of the most important health awareness events as it encompasses the largest Egyptian coalition for the promotion of health awareness at Egypt. She said that there are many authorities participate in the festival, such as, General Health Department at Faculty of Medicine – Cairo University, Health Ministry, Egyptian Red Crescent, Egyptian Cure Bank. Besides, Chamber of Media Industry, 57357 Hospital, Egyptian youth ambassadors team at Faculty of Medicine and Misr Foundation, as well as many specialized authorities and organizations in fields of health, health awareness and medicine.
